About Us

There's only one way to do anything - and that's the right way.

Our Team and Our Approach

Wayne and Matthew Allen, the father and son team at the heart of everything we do, have both spent their entre working lives in construction and renovation of the built environment.

Their approach has been founded on Wayne's commitment to excellence and his insistence on the highest standards of professionalism. It is a perspective that is refreshingly traditional and speaks to the respect and care that Wayne and his team lavish on the properties that they renovate. There is, he says, only one way to do things - and that's the right way.

Every project is different and whether we are laying acres of polished hardwood flooring, building an entire staircase, replacing sash windows, refitting a kitchen or building a new oak conservatory, the same approach applies.

Wayne Allen

wayne-100pxWayne has been involved in every aspect of domestic purpose-made joinery and commercial specialist joinery for more than 30 years. The journey started with a four-year CITB apprenticeship for a traditional shop fitting company.

“In those days we cut all our joints by hand and practised for weeks to cut in a straight line by hand. The basics matter.” With a solid apprenticeship, roles in a design office led to project management and eventually business management at the highest level, for the most prestigious of clients in the City of London.

Wayne is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, holds a registration under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme and is also a qualified St John Ambulance First Aider.
