It was our pleasure to manufacture and install this Oak Garden Room for our client. The structure was manufactured from kiln-dried European Oak, in a Prime Graded Product.
The project represented a procurement challenge for us. The design called for the roof purlins to be nearly six metres in length – with a correspondingly large section size too. However we came up with quality oak of the right size. With 24mm glazed units, the garden room is well insulated – vital for winter use.
To keep the design harmonious with the existing home, the new roof structure was cut into the existing house roof and then tiled in a natural slate. All the joinery was finished in an Osmo Natural Oil for a rich look that blends well with the honey-coloured stone.
